The least American President of my lifetime announced his candidacy for re-election today. That he made this threat so obliquely (i.e., with no actual statement made to our faces) may speak to his own recognition of the absurdity and essential cowardice of his leadership. Or it could just be his usual level of presumptuousness.

But on this very same day, Obama also sent his racist attorney general out to announce (obliquely, as is the fashion) that their policy of trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and other Islamofascist murderers in civilian criminal court (and in NYC, natch!) was wrong all along and that they will instead be tried at Guantanamo Bay in a military court. As they should have been. All along.

Where, then, are the consequences of this craven reversal? Nowhere. Obama won’t be made to answer for such an inside-baseball issue among the vast majority of his supporters because it was never anything more than the moral preening of incoherent ideologues. Foreign-born mass murderers (and a few merely treasonous ones) have rights under our Constitution? And that trying them in civilian criminal court would somehow mark a triumph for American Justice? What asshole delusions! Obama and other post-Americans who think like him spent so much time agreeing with the Islamofascists that Guantanamo Bay was indeed the very center of American brutality and abuse of the Religion of Peace that they were compelled to abandon trying these bastards as war criminals in favor of a cruel circus in Manhattan that not even the wretched hack Chuck Schumer could abide. Obama’s opposition to Guantanamo was crap from start to finish because it was just him trying to square his campaign rhetoric with the hard reality of doing his job of protecting us.

So, hippies, is the prospect of Hope and Change v.2.0 enough to make you overlook Obama’s lack of principles yet again? He probably thought so —and has put your idolatry to the test again.

When I was a kid, I enjoyed the hell out of David Letterman. He had a huge influence on mine and my brothers’ senses of humor.

But I stopped watching him a very long time ago because he turned into a miserable prick who enjoys hurting people’s feelings and humiliating them. I even remember the moment I vowed to stop watching him. One night —maybe 15 years ago?— he had on an old gentleman farmer who had brought a collection of vegetables he had grown that resembled famous faces. A potentially cute little segment that Letterman turned into a vicious attack on this old man’s dignity. Dolly Parton was a guest and I believe she even remained for that part of the program. I very much doubt the grand dame of Sevier County, Tennessee appreciated Letterman’s assholishness, although I don’t remember her reaction for a fact. (Maybe I should write her and ask if she recalls that night. I’ve seen her on a lot of programs lately and she’s as charming as ever.)

Anyway, this joke Letterman made about what is essentially the rape of Sarah Palin’s 14 year-old daughter the other night was stupid, mean, and unfunny. He should be a man and make a full and unambiguous apology. But no one is going to make him because he has bought the good opinion of asshole liberals everywhere with his gratuituous swipes at Republicans. He’s insulated against criticism because of his politics. That’s a bad thing for our culture and for women, in case you were wondering.

(Yeah, I know I’ve written this same post before, but Letterman’s a jerk who deserves for his mistreatment of that old man to be remembered forever. And now he can be remembered as someone who likes to make cracks about young girls being raped.)

Lying? You bet. There’s a lot of nonsense that one is obligated to believe. Credo quia absurdum. But the hippies don’t see it my way. Instead, they believe themselves to be heroic saviors of the Earth because of where they come down on the “issue” of carbon dioxide.

This carbon tax that Henry Waxman and other discredited Californios are trying to implement is a giant fucking Socialist power grab. Wherever you live, tell your Congressman that you don’t want to fork over a mortgage payment’s worth of taxes every year to some United Nations-managed treasury of carbon-meritoriousness. This is a scam, dude. A post-American economy-destroying scam intended to enrich the Democratic Party and its collaborators.

Regarding the latest high-profile withdrawal from consideration for Treasury’s top brass, well-known partisan hack George Stephanopoulos of <strike>the Democratic Party</strike> ABC News writes (emphasis mine):

Last week an administration official conceded to me that “it’s not easy to find qualified people who don’t have conflicts” adding that “dozens of candidates” across the government have been forced to pull out because they couldn’t meet President Barack Obama’s ethics standards or overcome other vetting issues.

Huh?! Was that a joke? The Secretary of the Treasury, who is a tax cheat, managed to land a job there, so what “ethics standards” are his would-be underlings not meeting that he did?

Let me explain this so that even partisan stooges get it: people who are accomplished in the world of high finance don’t want to sign on for the forced institution of Socialism in America. They don’t want their names associated with what Newguy is doing because they don’t want to go down in History as the fools who brought us Socialism. You know why?

Because they don’t believe in Socialism! They wouldn’t be who they are under Socialism!

Are we done with the clown-assed bullshit yet?

You know, until Al Sharpton brought it up, I hadn’t really thought of the President as a chimpanzee. And then, when I did think about it, I thought to myself, “What the fuck is Al Sharpton talking about?!” Only a mind as decayed with syphilitic reasoning (or over-perming) as his would conjure up a connection between a dead ape in a political cartoon and the President.

For one thing, Al, the cartoon in question is clearly drawn against those who wrote this huge new spending package we have to deal with now. Obama had nothing to do with writing it. In fact, it’s been a criticism against him by even some in his own party that he didn’t do enough to put his own guidance into it. Instead, he left it up to the party hacks. That’s why we have this giant new mess of porculicious obligations piled onto the rest of a lame economy.

So, since you missed the point —and took offense at nothing— how will you look people in the eye? Is this how you’re going to advance the cause of Eric Holder’s America? By imagining stupid shit like the ridiculous paranoiac and race exploiter you are?

By the way, those of us who supported the previous Commander-in-Chief were subjected to eight years of constant reference to his supposedly chimp-like features and expressions. Talking about the “Chimperor” was standard-issue fare with degenerate hippies everywhere. But now that we have a self-identified black man as our President, what do you suppose will be the fate of that term? I suspect that Obama’s biggest critics —those who happen to be white— will be extra careful not to make references to his racial characteristics because they know, as a political matter, they dare not. And why should they? Leave it up to Sharpton and his simian imaginings to continually resort to that lever —like the frivolous rat he is. America’s more grown up than some want to believe.

I oppose Obama as a politician and even as the President of my country, but I have no reason to oppose him on account of his race because I think that is stupid and because that’s how people thought before me. If I choose —and I do every day— to interact with and learn from people who are not like me, then I am manifesting America’s genius. If I choose to move past racial and class and ideological identities —and I make the effort every day— then I am closer to health than those who segregate themselves away.

Get it, Eric? I don’t have to “talk” about race if I am living right by the world.

(Oh, for future reference? The cartoon in question alludes, as such things do, to a current topic of great curiosity: on Monday, an old woman in Connecticut who kept a chimpanzee around as her lover and drinking buddy had to stab the poor thing to keep it from shredding her best friend’s face apart. She failed. When the cops showed, they had to put him down. I don’t know why a person would choose to live with a chimp in such intimacy, but it certainly seems crazy and out of control. Like an ape on psychotropics. Like this spending bill they just enacted. Total apeshit socialism.)

I just caught some live TV (funny how that term is evolving amongst DVR owners) and it was David Shuster on MSNBC —the network of uncritical fellatio-journalism. Like the other nutbags swinging from that chasm, Shuster fancies himself a shaper of opinion and —through his many friends and ideological lovers in the Obama White House— of policy. So Shuster gets the wife of a high-profile political prisoner recently jailed by Robert Mugabe on the phone, saying that Obama needs to somehow intervene in Zimbabwe and get rid of Mugabe once and for all. And I guess this woman is free to agree with that on cable TV as her husband sits in fear for his life, but my one question remains:

Why does David Shuster believe in liberating Zimbabwe?
