A Frivolous Megalomaniac
If you watched Steve Kroft’s interview with the President tonight on 60 Minutes, it should be clear to you that The One knows as well as anyone that the excise tax passed by the House on bonuses paid to executives with AIG or the other bail-out recipients is un-Constitutional and ridiculously unfair. He wouldn’t come right out and say it, but you know he knows it is against America’s legal principles.
Of course the bonuses are bullshit —but they are contractually obligatory. And who tried to protect those bonuses? Chris Dodd. The White House. Other hypocritical assholes who had no idea that a pittance of $165 million would even get noticed in this wholesale rush to state ownership of the financial industry. Now they know different.
Even more bullshit still is Obama’s suggestion that there should be compensation caps on Wall Street executives —and that they should be glad that they aren’t like the poor schmucks elsewhere in the country who would be glad to have a salary of even “$75,000.” You can just tell that this man has no faith in the free market —but infinite faith in the power of class warfare.
After all, he’s a Marxist.
The people who elected Barack Obama President are ignorant assholes who should apologize. That is the bottom line and I will insist on it from here on in.
